THAT EDIT THING

ONE of the many things I currently am is  a 3rd year Mass Communication student. One of the many things I (besides writing news) do  is edit videos. I've probably been doing this not for the longest time yet though. So yeah...I am not "that" good at it yet. I aspire to become one of the best editors though ;)

Still, I want to share to you guys what goes on and what editing is all about. From my perspective and from my experiences.

The good thing about my degree program is that it is broad. We don't just focus on news and writing them,  through some of the subjects we're able to explore, shoot and make videos. From short films to advertisements to music videos. Yes, we actually go through a lot!

My latest edits have been a documentary and a short film. Our theme for our project here is HORROR.

 TAGTUNGOD [A Documentary]

When you do editing, you have to make sure you know what you're doing with the video. Otherwise, the whole feel of it might come out wrong. In this case I had to look into so many documentary videos present online so I could get the gist of how a documentary video is supposed to look like. Research Research Research!

 MISSING [Short Film]

One of the matters that concerned me while editing both TAGTUNGOD and MISSING was that they are both in horror, and I am quite of a scaredy cat when it comes to these things. So I edited in the morning only. ( I couldn't bare hearing the scary sounds at night! O.O )

Hopefully I can have the time to upload all these videos online :3

 SANTERIA [Music Video]

You can view the music video HERE  :)

I THINK editing is not that easy of a job to do.But as long as you enjoy learning and you have the patience & perseverance to do it, you'll find it's actually a fun thing to be caught up into. I'm pretty sure you'll be editing more and more once you get to this part.

There are many softwares out there that you can use to edit videos. The most popular would be Adobe Premiere Pro & Sony Vegas. However, I use Cyberlink Power Director. It's actually not that hard to manipulate ;)

I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be posting more soon. See ya!

APPRECIATING ART

ART is one of the most beautiful things that I find very interesting, specifically the Art of Photography :3

I am not any type of professional at this, but I like taking a lot pictures, even when I didn't own those expensive kinds of cameras (I do now though :3 ).

The thing that I like about photography is the amount of art one can capture. Anything goes, from the most beautiful scene to the most dullest, with the correct balance of light and color art can be made.

Here are some of my photos!

These pictures were taken during the last event I went to - UNIVERCITY 2013. I had the chance to take tons and tons of pictures and exercise my love for photography :D (even if it's just amateur). If you're wondering if there were any edits in these photos, the answer is NO. They're pure raw camera magic! The camera I used for this is my SONY NEX F3. It's a mirror-less camera from Sony's Alpha Series. I think it's a very easy to handle type of camera, (If I do say so myself)

I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be posting more soon. :)
  XOXO.

MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY

BLOGGING. This is probably one more of the cool things I am getting into as I write this first post :) & for the record, this will be my first time to open up my thoughts for the whole wide web to see and manipulate.

I THINK one of the first things I'd talk about here is the importance to never give up. No matter what. I actually put this in mind that God has plans for me, especially when something I wanted to work didn't. They say that life is all about change. So we should learn to bear with the changes, especially when it becomes a little too hard to handle. Just have faith. :)

   ANYWAY
MY blog will be about everything I am interested in, hopefully we'll see eye to eye and you'll enjoy browsing through as much as I did sharing them to you. :3
